Culture Jammers
Culture jamming is a form of activism that involves subversively altering media or advertising messages, usually to cast a critical spotlight on the activities of governments, corporations or individuals. It can take place in physical spaces or virtual realms: some activists amend billboards, others hijack websites.
The opening forum on Sunday 12th February, The Art and Politics of Culture Jamming, presents an impressive line-up of guest speakers who will discuss the intentions, tactics, incidents, aesthetics and recent history of culture jamming in Sydney.
